Provin Group Catering French and Vietnamese Canapé

Are you hosting a party soon? Celebration is a pretty big deal in Australia so you may find a lot of catering services from caterer companies or restaurants.

We were introduced to the Provin Group Catering which serves a mix of French and Vietnamese style warm and cold Canapés.

Speaking of cocktail events, you “can’t” not have alcohol. We were first served with some bubbles, Monmousseau Brut Etoile, slightly fruity with a good balance of sweetness and acidity. Easy to drink with and perfect to clean our palette before starting the meal.

Throughout the event, we were also served with red and white wine and they are both nice to pair with different kind of food including cheese, meat, veggies, bread, and more.

After a few sips of wine, our feast started with some cold canapes first, then the hot canapes, finish with some more filling options.

Mushroom Tart

Cute little buttery mushroom mousse in buttery tart base. It’s earthy, it’s flavourful, and it’s just good as a first bite size appetizer.

Smoked Salmon with Cheese

Layers of smoked salmon, crepes, cream cheese, and topped with some crab roes. A never fail combination to me and the savoury taste pairs nicely with some white wine.

Vietnamese Rice Paper Roll

Fresh rice rolls with chewy wraps and a special sauce that has a salivating sweet and sour taste. Definitely one of my favourite canapés’ from their menu.

Mini frittata

Another classic canapés to enjoy at any events because it is easy to eat, healthy and delicious at the same time. I love how smooth the egg was and I can easily down a few of these.

Duck rice paper roll

When east meets west, it became the one food that goes off the tray quickly. The duck has been slow cooked until very tender and still very moist. Once again, the freshly wrapped rice paper roll is just chewy enough which I like.

Vietnamese deep fried spring roll

In contrast, the deep fried version is a lot crunchier and less meaty, it has a mix of veggies and some clear noodles stuffed in the thin pastry shell. Don’t forget about the sweet chili sauce on the side!

Stuffed chicken wing
The chick wings are stuffed and deep fried until golden brown and crispy on the outside, and still a bit crunchy from the filling on the inside. It’s packed with herbs and spices, which truly represent a fusion of mix French and Vietnamese culture.

Sandwiches
It’s hard to skip out on the wide varieties of sandwiches, dinner rolls, and wraps. They are constructed with different ingredients more on the western side, which are also the more satisfying options from their catering menu.

If you wish to have a more vibrant catering service for your devoted guests, I think Provin Group is for you because they offers a wide range of oriental as well as European and Western style of finger food. Some of them are playful while some of them remained classic and delicious.
