2015 Galaxy Entertainment Group Asia International Dance Championships, to be held for-the-first-time in Hong Kong on 11 July 2015 at the Amphitheatre of the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, with approximately 800 professional and amateur dancers, including some of the world’s finest award-winning champions battling out their skills.
There will be World-class Professional and Amateur Ballroom and Latin Dancers Competing for US$100,000 Prizes. This is a major dance event in Asia that no dance aficionado or any casual dance lover should miss.
The one-day event includes not only the four thrilling main competitions of ‘Professional and Amateur Ballroom and Latin American Championships’, but also other captivating contests, such as ‘Asia Closed Professional Ballroom and Latin Championships’, ‘Asia International Under 21 Ballroom and Latin Championships.’ and ‘Asia International Pro Am Ballroom Single and Latin Single Dance Events.’
An increasing popular global ‘sporting’ event that combines the sophistication of dance, physical demands of body movements and the spectacle of gorgeous costumes, audiences have the chance to revel in the exciting mix of glamour and entertainment, transporting them to the worlds of glamorous yester-years or tropical Latin cultures that are boundlessly fun and exhilarating. This Dance Championship offers opportunity to young international dancers under 21 as well as to amateur dancers to reach for the limelight, and amongst the many charismatic dancers who will be competing in Hong Kong are Arunas and Katusha from the United States, who have the accolade of being the reigning World Professional Ballroom Champions, for six times since 2009. Other names to watch include Maurizio Vescovo and Andra Vaidilaite from Canada, who hold the titles of first runner-ups in 2014 World Championship Professional Latin. Just this small sampling of contestants who will be joining in the Championships is enough to wet the appetite of any ballroom dancing enthusiast.
There will also be a special performance by the record holding Michael Malitowski – The World Professional Latin Champion.
