Tapeo Launches Weekly Regional Specials

Each Friday from now until December, Tapeo will introduce a new weekly special from one of 17 distinct culinary regions in Spain. Additionally, diners at lunch or dinner who order from the à la carte menu will also receive a complimentary tapa of the day (one per person) with their meal. The first three stops in August will include:

  • The Balearic Islands (August 7-13): Features the famed, texture-rich sobrasada sausage, a regional speciality that requires the area’s specific climate conditions (high humidity, cooler temperatures) to create and perfect. Featured dish: Snails with sobrasada sausage , butter beans and chickpeas
  • Murcia: (August 14-20): Spain’s very own farmer’s market boasts some of the country’s finest produce, due to its location between some of Spain’s most fertile farmlands and the Mediterranean. Veggies are a speciality throughout the region due to this very fact. Featured dish: Stuffed aubergines with morcilla , broad beans , piquillo peppers and pine nuts
  • Canary Islands (August 21-27): No frills, just right. A region that prides itself in simple, robust dishes. Think roasted, spiced meats, hearty soups and bubbling stews. Featured dish: Roasted Iberico pork secreto, corn elotes and mole verde

From the Balearic Islands to Valencia, Catalonia to Madrid, enjoy an exceptional travel experience into the heart of Spanish cuisine and culture without packing your bags. If you’ve never been to Spain, Tapeo will be your guide. If you have been to Spain, then welcome back.
