Nepal, located in Himalayas, between India and China.

National Parks:

Bardia National Park – largest and most undisturbed protected area in Terai. The park hosts many different kinds of animals.
Activities: jungle safari on elephant-back, jungle walk, boat ride, jeep drive
Accommodation: jungle lodges
Access: 516km by road from KTM (Kathmandu)

Chitwan National Park – declared by UNESCO heritage site since 1984.
Acitivies: jungle safari on elephant-back, jungle walk, canoe ride, jeep drive, experience of Tharu culture
Accommodation: resorts hotels and lodges
Access: 146km by road from KTM

Khaptad National Park – home of Late Khaptad Swami in west Nepal
Acitivities: Trekking
Accommodation: camping
Access: 3 days walk from Chainpur / 1 day walk from Dhangadi

Langtang National Park – high altitude park inTibet boarder
Activities: trekking, mountaineering
Accommodations: lodges, camping
Access: 117km by roads from KTM

Makalu Barun National Park – a huge variety of beautiful plants in north Nepal.
Activities: trekking, mountaineering
Accommodation: camping
Access: 6 days walk from Tumlingtar

Rara National Park – a large number of bird variety
Activities: Trekking
Accommodations: camping, lodges
Access: 2 hours trek from Nepalgunj-Talcha airport

Sagarmatha National Park – Sagarmatha means Mt. Everest, it is the highest peak of the world. It is above 6000m from the ground.
Activities: trekking, mountaineering
Accommodations: resort hotels, lodges, camping
Access: from Lukla

Shey-Phoksundo National Park – largest national park in north west of Nepal
Activities: trekking, mountaineering
Accommodation: camping
Access: from Dolpa

Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park – a park for adventure
Activities: hiking, rockclimbing, bird watching
Access: 11km from KTM

Koshitappu Wildlife Reserve – it is a bird watcher’s paradise
Activities: game viewing, bird watching
Accommodation: resorts tented camp
Access:  40km drive from Biratnagar
